Dr. Carlos Starling, director of Teaching and Research at the Benjamin Guimarães Foundation / Hospital da Baleia and coordinator of Infectology at the Institution, and Dr. Priscila do Carmo, infectious disease physician at the Hospital Infection Control Service, led the training that took place today, Thursday market.

Baleia has a daily flow of about 3 thousand people / day, including employees, doctors, patients, companions and suppliers, almost 700 professionals in the assistance area, it serves patients from health insurance, private and from the Unified Health System (SUS), coming 88% of Minas Gerais municipalities.
According to the infectologist, the objective is that, in view of the occurrence of infection by the new coronavirus in Brazil, the professionals at Hospital da Baleia are trained according to the flow protocol at the Institution. In addition, the elderly and people with chronic diseases are the most susceptible to contracting the virus.
